Email to SMS in Lebanon

Good morning friends, yesterday I stumbled up this page http://www.makeuseof.com/tag/email-to-sms/ that said that we could send sms right from emails as long as the country has a "Free Email To SMS Gateways".

I then searched if Lebanon had such a gateway and it turned out that we do which is: 9613xxxxxx@ens.jinny.com.lb . I was quite happy to find that we had such a gateway but then I tried it and it didn't really work.

So my question is, does anyone have any idea about this gateway and why it might not be working? Anyone tried this before? Any ideas why it might not be working? Does a new alternative exist?

I would exercise caution before using it. They might be to compiling a mailing list of cellphone numbers to sell to companies.

i believe that we must have such a gateway since websites like mtctouch and alfa's have the option to send sms via internet
