weird elmazad phone prices

So I wanted to sell my nexus s.
The phone is still being sold at 560 in the USA and
630 in Dubai.
On elmazad some sources are offering it for 460!
How can they have such a price for an unreleased
Phone in Lebanon?
Does anyone know if there are knock offs the
Nexus s? Or cheaper models?
It got me real confused

Then its legit. I got 2 things from him (iPad 2 and Nokia E7), and they were brand new. So I don't think he has any knock-offs of any phone. It was pointed out in another post that he gets his phones from Amhaz which sells phones at the cheapest prices. As why do other phone shops sell at them at such prices is obviously for more profit.

Amhaz is currently selling the Nexus S for 450$. Though I have no clue how he was able to get them at such low prices. While other "official" retailers are currently selling it for 600$. So you should probably ask for something between that range.

I don't know anything about him. But I find it weird that he only lists the devices that Amhaz listed on his most recent price list. In addition, all devices are only a couple of dollars less than or greater than Amhaz's prices.

My point, exactly how can they offer a price lower than the provider in the USA what is the catch.

Nexus S can be bought under a contract in the US for subsidized price (~$200-300) then the guy pays an amount of money to unlock it and release it from the contract. I think.

you are right, bringing the price back to 530$ then you have the taxes making it 580$, this is how I got it.
but selling it at 460$ seems very illogical unless there is another version of the phone which is very unlikely.

Why are you assuming he is getting it from the U.S? I would think he would get them from the U.K or china.

I would think google will release their own phone at the cheapest price possible in the US (as Google operates from there).
in UK it is more expensive i think around 430 pounds.

Maybe they are importing from some other source, but they just made me lose a lot of money, thanks again piracy :)

I saw several users of HTC who said that buying a Chinese-Asian Made Phone is laggy and stuff like that while users of European Made Phones are much faster and stuff like that. Is this true ?

You mean Chinese knock-offs? Yes they are laggy and they suck.

There are some copies yeah but you can see its fake from 10 km

the only difference is the quality testing that the device go through when brought or being shipped to EU/US

But they do go through the initial stages of quality testing, right? After all, it's still a legit HTC or Samsung or whatever. But I guess what you are trying to say is that Europeans and Americans get extra quality checks?

HTC is a Taiwanese company, and therefore has most of its factories in China. (It has some in Brazil too I think).

Dismissing a device as a "Chinese HTC knock-off", is like complaining about "Finnish Nokia knock-off" or "Italian Armani knock-off" :P

ok here it is Android phones suck :)
It is the manufacturers, they keep releasing and not updating hardware, they are making phone owners lose a lot of $$$.
How come a 600$ now costs 410$ in Lebanon brand new. It is a huge issue with HTC, Samsung, ... and guess what they just updating their ROMs to force users to update.
anyways after losing +250$ in 2months I am switching back to iPhone 4 because in the end android sucked ass (lots of hanging, boot problems, lack of decent apps, ...) and iOS 5 is amazing.

just found out that amhaz and the others are selling the cheap i9023 model which is less expensive as it has an LCD instead of the i9020 (the one i have) with super amoled screen.
