it sounds like lot of people here are using Linux which i find weired, because most of people that i know use Windows and and some use Mac (specially Macbook because they just have the stupid idea that says:More expensive = lot better) i personally prefer Windows because of the super huge number of available programs(i don't remember anytime that i was searching for a program and found that it doesn't support windows)plus the simple interface that is based on "Windows" , games , not too relevant to any market (like Itunes for Mac) ,almost all paid programs are cracked , and Bill Gates (weird reason huh :P ) but i just like this man, i generally prefer Microsoft products like Windows , Xbox360 , i didn't like Ipod but sadly never had the chance to try Zune , except for mobile phone i prefer android which is Linux based. So please Linux,Mac and Windows users share your experience, and what do you like in your OS or what makes it better than others .

This is worse than discussing politics or religion.

I use:
-Ubuntu on my laptop
-OSX (Hackintosh on my desktop)
I only use Windows on my work computer because I have to, but I have a CentOS VM running in the background all the time and I use it for most tasks.
I am against piracy so your argument about the availability of pirated software on windows doesn't pretty much help you.
I buy most software I need if it is reasonably priced (except for some things like Adobe Photoshop which cost an arm and a leg). I don't pay for Microsoft software as it is covered with my MCT subscription.
You can find almost everything you want in open source. It might not have the gazzillion features of the paid software, but it'll almost always do what you need it to do.
Oh, and concerning your "Macbook are overpriced" comment, they are expensive, but you do get amazing build quality.
My sister's 5 year old 1st gen Macbook Pro still looks and runs as good as new (although it needed a new battery a year ago). It has never been "re-formatted". She is a graphic designer and doesn't understand a **** about computers.

Yes, this clearly will not lead anywhere but a flamewar.
