Most of the components such as the cpu, graphics card, etc. are virtually the same, the price is virtually the same, but which one will be a better choice for me?
well both have good specs, the thing is hp has LED which gives you wayyyyyyyy longer battery life (and picture quality) than tft (which the toshiba laptop has)
on the other hand, hp battery dies within months and the laptops heat like hell! (trust me my whole relatives have hp and they heat up like hell) ive seen a few toshiba laptops they seemed cooler than hp and felt physically stronger, sometimes lighter, to be honest id go with asus if you can find one

good quality what? plastic is plastic, you probably were a unlucky user of a toshiba laptop
I have a 1300$ Toshiba laptop and it's not the best materials I saw.
I got lot of dead reboots (booting but no screen like if dead)
toshiba is not the best but its certainly better than hp, unless i had bad luck with hp laptops all the time thats another story :P
go with sony they are really good :)
haidcar wrotego with sony they are really good :)
looks better too xP
though im not sure if its the same prices as toshiba\hp
