I was using my laptop HP dv7-4053cl when i felt it was becoming really sluggish and slow. I opened up task manager to see what process was draining my computer. First thing i noticed was this
now 'CPU :100%' wasnt just for one second, it stayed constant for around 5 secc, that's when i knew something was wrong
so I clicked on the processes tab to find 3 beats.exe processes working, each around 30-40% cpu consumption
So i immediately ended the 3 processes, and directly the fan calmed down and the laptop went back to normal.
this picture represents the duration from when i turn the process on with Fn + B (which turns on the Beats subwoofer in my laptop) till i end the process manually
You can clearly see the sharp incline then decline in cpu consumption after i end the process.
The thing is my laptop has Beats™ Audio and HP Triple Bass Reflex Subwoofer .. With Fn + b you can turn on the triple bass reflex subwoofer.. when you press fn + b again it must turn it back off.. however i noticed this is not what is happening... when i press fn + b again another beats.exe process appears, and if pressed again a third one would appear. overloading the computer..
If anyone any idea on how to solve this issue i would be more than thankful !!
P.S. i posted about my laptop before here :
