I turned on my laptop today to find out that my space button and left-shift are not working properly. It has been sitting intact since I last left it on my desk with no one having access to it. The weird thing is they work at random times. That is, pressing the space button could work but not twice in a row.
If you are wondering, no my keys are not jammed, and not I did not install any software lately.
Please help, I'm going insane.

try cleaning you keyboard, and you could try removing the space button then put it back again(since you didn't install any softwares )....

The best way to find out if it's a hardware problem or not, is to boot on a Live CD. Try doing that, you'll know more about your problem.

I already cleaned my space button, and I checked all driver problems through device manager and another driver tool and no problem was found.
Anymore ideas ?

Try rebooting the system, if you still have the same problem it's definitely a hardware issue. Try pressing on the space button after removing the encasing (i.e. press button under the plastic casing), if it still isn't working then there's a problem with your device manager software in receiving commands from the button itself.

To know exactly what's the problem, you should boot on a Live Cd as Rahmu said.
