Hey man, 2 things:
First, Good luck finding a recent model WD drive. I was recently looking for a 2TB USB 3.0 drive but couldn't find any stores that have alot of WD models. Most are now Seagate (or LaCie). I even tried the 'official distributor' called Quantum and they said they haven't been brining alot of WD drives lately.
As for the second, and
more important issue is
you might want to find a different drive. I've owned a WD My Passport SE 750GB for more than a year, and recently the drive fell to the ground and wouldn't be recognized by the PC at all the times, and I had all sorts of issues with the drive. When I tried disassemble it (to get to the internal drive) to perform recovery on the data, I faced a problem.
Basically, in order to make the drive so small (if you notice its much smaller in size compared to all other 2.5" portable drives), they removed the standard SATA connectors from the internal drive and made it so that the USB port is soldered directly to the drive.
you can read more about it the issue here :

so basically, if at any point in time you need to disassemble the drive to connect it directly to a PC (recovery of data is much more likely to be successful if the drive is connected internally, as opposed to being connected thru USB) then you're outta luck.
