Hello,
I brought a Genuine License of Windows 7 to use it on my Mac. However, it is geographically activation restricted to Middle East and Africa.
I am planning to travel to UK for Masters. I might need to reinstall Windows again sooner or later. Whether because of software or Hardware issues (i.e. Upgrading to Lion this summer or Upgrading my internal HDD to a better one).
The problem is that I will not be able to activate it.
Today, I received a message from the Action Center about using Windows Backup, so I am wondering if Windows Backup backsup all windows system files including files for Windows Activation. If so, I will Backup Windows and the Restore it inorder to have an activated Windows.
I am using Time Machine on Snow Leopard, and it WONDERFUL! Easy to use, fast to backup, and restores every single file!
Anyone have used Windows Backup?
Thanks in advance,
Best Regards,
AMDeeb

Ever heard of winclone? When it comes to dual boot on a mac, winclone is the way to go. What happens is that you can create an image of your windows partition and restore it anytime you want, and on any mac system you want. You can activate your windows, install your apps, install windows updates, make the image using winclone, use your windows until something bad happens to it, restore windows from the image, you get everything back (including the windows activation). Winclone is the only mac application capable of doing that; too bad the developer stopped the project due to insufficient donations (the app was free). PM me your email, and i'll send you the application (last version of the app is Winclone 2.2, i think you can still find it on the internet)
