Lebanon New Building Requirements for Broadband Services Delivery

TRA (Telecommunication regulatory authority www.tra.gov.lb) has issued on April 6th the New Building Requirements for Broadband Services Delivery, which means for the new buildings there is some specific and mandatory standards that should be available in the newly built building so that the residents benefit from High speed internet (FTTH- or Copper), IPTV and VOIP.
I am checking the forum on regular basis and didn't see anyone posting this, if somebody already posted it delete my topic please, it looks like that the TRA is asking that each new building should have a Telecommunication room with specific dimensions (We Lebanese are only accustomed to electricity rooms :P).
It is a 4.23 MB pdf file and it contains some nice information and details.

This is a great initiative. This law should've been implemented a long time ago. But better later than never anyway :)

So it's implemented only in new buildings? which means (with the current price of apartments) only rich people will benefit from it :P. What about old buildings, anything for them?

Meh. Another law that'll be thrown in the drawers and not implemented.
Plus, as has been said, apartments prices will increase because of the "new" facilities and services available now.
In addition, why would they implement it and we still have horrendous connection speeds?
