No,it doesn't..but it's a great idea,since they are cheaper,but they are so old now

anyways, this is my mobo: intel D945GCNL ..it's very basic. :/
can you tell me a good quad core CPU and it's price..and is it future proof?

EDIT:I don't think that's a good idea, they seem to have the same price as the i5 CPU's,and I wanted something new (like usb 3.0 etc.) that aren't supported by the LGA 775 mobos
@Nemesis-301: Great suggestion, but unfortunately his board doesn't support them. Even if it did, those CPU's have both low clockspeeds and low performance. Clock-for-clock, Core i5 performs more than 2 times better. I mean, 370 + VAT on a CPU and motherboard is a VERY good deal, and will eventually pay itself over time compared with the Quad Core which will most definitely last a shorter time, even if the price was lower.
my last suggestion:

-VGA:Inno3D Geforce GT430 2GB DDR3
well, since you have time, save some more money and go for at least the gts 250:
I couldnt find benchmarks, but here are there specs:

gt 430:

# Graphics Clock (MHz)700
# Processor Clock (MHz)1400MHz
# Memory Clock (MHz)1333MHz
# Max Memory Amount2GB DDR3
# Memory Interface 128 bit
# Memory Bandwidth (GB/sec)28.8
# Texture Fill Rate (billion/sec) 5.6

gts 250:
# ProductInno3D Geforce GTS 250 Green
# Processor CoresGTS 250
# Graphics Clock (MHz)675
# Processor Clock (MHz)1736Mhz
# Memory Clock (MHz)1900Mhz
# Memory Amount512Mb / 1Gb GDDR3
# Memory Interface 256-bit
# Memory Bandwidth (GB/sec)47.2

Inno3D Geforce GT430 2GB DDR3 Dual w/TV $125.00
Inno3D Geforce GTS 250 1GB DDR3 Dual w/TV $137.00

good luck !

How is the memory interface the most important feature in the VGA?? Elaborate please.

EDIT: The price of an ASUS GTS 450 in www.pcandparts.com is $139, $2 more than the GTS 250! Why are you even recommending old gen cards?? Guys...
Lol! more noobish BS from Nemesis, where did you get that memory interface bogus info from?

By your standards the AMD Radeon HD 6870 (which has 256 Bit of bus memory) is as good as the three year old GT250.

Also, the GT250 is barely better than his current card [9500GT] - why would someone shell out $137 for a useless outdated hardware?

didnt see that, I agree that would be a better choice...

tell me, 1 advantage that the gt 430 has over the gts 250, and how could the gts 250 be useless when it can clearly perform way better then the gt 430, even the gt 240 performs better then it...

heres an example (I found on the internet, cause I'm in no mood to type it myself) comparing the 8800gt with 320 bit of memory interface, with the radeon 4870 which has 256 bit
The 4870 only has a 256 bit interface because it uses 3600MHz GDDR5. This gives it a bandwidth of 115GB/s. For comparison, your 8800GTS has a 320 bit interface with 1600MHz GDDR3. Although you have a larger bus width, the memory speed is vastly slower, and as a result, your bandwidth is only 64GB/s. (Note though that because of the added bus width, your memory bandwidth is higher than half that of the 4870, despite the memory clock speed being lower than half of the 4870's). Basically, what is important is a combination of the bus width and the memory clock, and the 4870's insane 3.6 GHz memory clock more than makes up for the slight deficiency in bus width.
where did you get that memory interface bogus info from?
my computer teacher...

@ omar, your 6850 you'll be getting would hit that table above the GTX 460 768 MB or even the 1 gb. Good Luck!

-MoBo:Intel DH67CL

-Processor:intel i5-2400

-RAM: 2*2Gb DDR3

-HDD:Western Digital 1TB WD1002FAEX

-VGA:Inno3D Geforce GT430 2GB DDR3

So,what do you think guys?I need my PC for gaming,I'am open for suggestions. :)

btw,my current PC specs are:

-CPU:Intel core2duo e4600 2.4Ghz

-VGA:point of view nvidia geforce 9500Gt 512

-RAM:4gig DDR2

I want to sell it when I get my new PC,anyone knows for how much it worth?
you don't need an i5 an i3 is good enough (it a weee slower than a quadcore @ 2.4GHz )
3.1 GHz - i3-2100 3M/LGA1155 $127.00
4GB Kingston ddr3 ram 43$
ECS H61H2-M3 V1.0 B3 (DDR3) (LGA1155) Link $65.00
ThermalTake VJ34321W1E Black M5A/win w/ 430W PSU $99.00
1TB 7200RPM S-ATAII $62.00 (hitachi)
Sony 24X DVDRW - Dual Layer Black SATA $23.00
EVGA 01G-P3-1556-KR GeForce GTX 550 Ti 1GB DDR5 Dual w/TV $175.00
Total: 596$
+ VAT and Shipping = 661$
with this setup you can play crysis 2 on the highest setting ( i got proof if you want)

btw that c2d of yours can be sold for about 250 - 300$ , if you sell it move to a better processor id recommend
3.3 GHz - i5-2500 6M/LGA1155 $215.00
Thanks mate,i'll take a look at your setup :)
avo, the 460 is better than the 550, and there's very little price difference, 460 1GB is better and its cheap if you get the evga one on pandparts, which i have and it ROCKS
its slightly better than the 550ti but not that much , its not the 50$
and also the spec which i chose has only 430W so it can barely power that thing , if he adds a 460 it will be less stable
and also the 460 is older than the 550ti and runs hotter too ;)
and also for a person who chose a 430 in the begining doesn't need a 460 even :P

How can an i3, which is essentially half a core i5, or less, be a wee slower than a quadcore@2.4GHz? These are only special cases where the game / application is using no more than 2 cores. But games are better taking advantage of more cores. A Core i5 is definitely more future proof, especially when you're dealing with the new upper-midrange / high-end cards. A 6850 or upwards are nothing to sniff about. The difference in price, $80-$100, is infinitely justifiable since it should NOT bottleneck his card's performance, whatsoever.

I would not recommend a GTX 550Ti. It's a pretty weak link in Nvidia's line-up. Although it has good performance, it's still weaker than a GTX 260. Watch it getting soon extinct by the GTX 560 (not Ti) and ATI's fantastic lineup at a budget.

check benchmarks
a 3.4GHz i3 beats an quadcore @ 2.4
and can handle 2 gtx 460s in SLI with NO bottlneck
but this guy has a low budget and doesn't need a 460 he bearly needs a 550Ti
and i could have given him a 460 but his powersupply is 430W and since the 550Ti is slightly slower than a 460 it consumes less power meaning more overclocking capabilities ;)
and i mean 3.4GHz of an i3 OVERCLOCKED

Depends on the software used. Its raw performance when OC is nowhere near the performance of an i5@Stock, specifically when the software is using more than 2 cores. You need a 100% OC to match the i5's raw performance @stock. Again, think of it this way. Nowadays, a game not coded to use more than 2 cores, is probably a game which has lower system demands than usual, and does not need more CPU power. Hence no bottleneck.
If his power supply is suffocating with a GTX 460, a GTX 550Ti, which uses a bit less power, should also not be run with such a power supply, since you are essentially running the PSU off the cliff and risking damaging your components. Both ways, an upgrade to a midrange - highend card means generic / low - wattage PSUs have to go.

I will stick to my opinion. A GTX 550Ti is not worth the money. Something better from ATI can be had for same / less. Nvidia has better bang for buck with the other cards too. GTX 460 is getting discounts like hell.
