ahh.. see.. even for internet they have to make up conspiracy theories and politicalize stuff and make sides, and I ask myself "Why oh why?". I don't bloody care what they say.. enough is enough, I'm advocating the group since it's size is growing and it's the only group where physical meetings are occurring. I want Lebanon to have good internet, that's it!

The reason they are doing this is not because they want Mobi to keep working, but for them to get the rights to use 3G. I mean no logical human being thinks that he will be able to cancel 3G installation in lebanon, but what they are aming for is to get the right to operate 3G services, because they will be in a clear disadvantage.

I think the ministry mishandled 3G distribution, they should have let private companies participate in 3G. one would have believed that the experience of 2 companies handling a service (mobile telecommunication) will make the government push for a more open market. But we are in lebanon so it is normal for us not to learn from the past.

Or better yet: level the playing field and give the ISPs access to the IMEWE cable. That way, all companies will be on equal ground just as they are right now....

When a flip of a switch of a cable (IMEWE) will result almost instantly in a better internet (although not to the extend that we all are craving for), then it is reasonable to ask for it.

the people give a ****? companies banks universities the whole economy worldwide relies on internet it's not chatting and watching **** ? all of these give a **** ? a cable with huge bandwidth comparing to lebanon's consumption that just laying down over there because of turkish series played every night at 8:00 pm on all lebanese TV stations ? for example a student of physics at lebanese university ( friend of mine ) stays up nights to download stuff he needs for his education, i think better internet will ease things up for him and for other people , if the electricity goes off he can simply switch to the neighbourhood generator i suppose can't he ? you have an alternative for electricity ( wich is the generator ) but you don't have an alternative for today's most used system of communication worldwide..
