Moving to Sodetel?

Hello guys i have been ogero client for like 2 years, I'm thinking to move to " Sodetel " they have free quota 11pm tell 8am, but i want to ask someone who used sodetel before is it good for gaming as Ogero ? or no i will take the 1MB what the latency in WoW anyone know thanks.

Well i think you should call them and ask, i doubt unlimited night traffic is available for the 1 mb package.

Ok i just called them they have free traffic on 1MB/s as well, and i ask them for fixed ip
They said 22$ that mean will cost me 92$ that not a problem, but anyone can help me am i doing right thing?
Is sodetel stable or gonna face internet problem what will be the latency same as ogero 140 - 200 ms or better or laggy? They said it is so good for online gaming am really lost any hint ?

I fail to see how an ISP that provides double speed/unlimited quota, remains stable for online gaming at night. That's pretty much the time where everyone is abusing their internet.

I believe the latency issue is everywhere regardless of the provider. We have HDSL 2.3 MBPS and we have the same latency issue (between 50 and 150 ms).

It's from Ogero, we use where I work. I'm not sure if this type of connection is available for home users though. However, it's the greatest connection I have used in Lebanon, very very fast (you have to love 200 kb download rate :>).

Hehe i have 130kb/s 120ms but 5gb limit pain i use 15gb every month so iam thinking to move to sodetel but worry that wont be stable and good as ogero :(

Consider it as an adventure with great risks :P. Why don't you consider TerraNet? I know some friends and family that uses TerraNet and they're happy with the service. It's almost the same as Sodetel (free night quota and double speed). Check them out.

We've covered this in quite a few topics. If your interest lies in gaming mostly, stick to Ogero. If your interest lies in downloads and the rest, go for any ISP that provides unlimited quota at night. You just can't get the best of both worlds at the moment. If you switch to sodetel, you can be sure that you'll lose online gaming stability.

Double speed and unlimited quota after 11 did not affect my 512+fixed IP sub...

What ISP? Are all fixed IP subscribers located with everyone else? You said "used to get" as opposed to "i'm currently getting". What are you currently getting? If you're able to show me that your ISP is delivering a stable 24/7 100ms average delay on an unlimited at night/double speed quota subscription, I'd gladly switch to that ISP this instant.

For now, I'll take the words of the dozens of other people that report the same thing I do.

Its because I dont have my fixed IP anymore...Lebanese Bac and all.
I dont have a fixed IP atm but in the summer, I used to stay up until 4-5 AM in the morning playing FPS games online(Which requires a very stable and good latency).
I used to get 90-100 on all EU servers and up to 200-250 on US servers.

Yea but still if you pay the extra 20$ for sodetel...You're assured to have the best gaming quality in lebanon.(Ogero has 150 ping if I'm not mistaken)

No. I'm with Ogero and I get a ping of 108 and sometimes even better. The highest ping I've seen is probably 132ms
