I'm buying an ipad, and would like to use it as a gps system. The wifi-only iPad doesn't have GPS, but the 3g version does. Problem is, data plans in lebanon are too expensive and not worth it. Has anyone here tried a GPS app that works offline? Ive been googling and found this
http://itunes.apple.com/us/app/nav4d-lebanon/id370366142?mt=8
which is basically a locally stored map of lebanon that you can use without a data connection. Problem is its $49.99, so I don't wanna download it if its not as useful as I want it to be (old maps, doesnt work, etc)

has anyone tried this app?

edit: I just found this
http://itunes.apple.com/lb/app/nav4d-lebanon-low-cost/id400431181?mt=8
its the same app by the same company for only 2.99? You would think that since its a lot cheaper its not as extensive, but its the exact same size as the first one. If anybody has an ipad 3g and is in lebanon, would you mind trying it out and giving me a review?
Hey anonchi , if you are planing on JB your Device , you can get the NDrive Lebanon Gps Cracked (Just google it ) im sure it's better than Nav4D. Even though i use the Ndrive, on my iphone, i don't think it's good enough , because it's really complicated and sometimes unprecise . Personally i prefer the Garmin Navigator which i used to have on my HTC , fortunately there is a copy for the IOS but the only maps available right now are US & Canada , i'm sure it's only a matter of time and the Lebanese map will be issued :) .
the cheap one is not for a full license... i guess you can use it for a specific period of time and then you have to pay the app price again
8 days later
I use navigon middle east. It is the best after trying all others.
just Google it and you will find the full cracked version, it is around 268mb.
