I was planning to write a small tutorial on how you can completely avoid using Visual studio to write .NET applications/libraries and just use your favorite text editor, though I really wouldn't want to go through that effort if there's not enough interest in it.
If you're interested in such a tutorial, please just reply with "interested" or "not interested"
Areas to cover:
- Building console applications
- Building libraries
- Accommodating a custom code base
- Unit Testing
Futures:
- Building and consuming WCF Services without visual studio
All within the vicinity of your favorite text editor and command line
P.S.: I'm a busy man, there's no ETA!

How about a video tutorial instead of a text based one?

I would love to participate. I could write a paragraph on the mono platform. It'd be a great occasion for me to familiarize myself with it.

I'm interested.

Definitely interested! As powerful as VS is, I'm too used to vi, and the emulation plugin doesn't always cut it for me (s// syntax is agonizing).

Kinda interested :)
I would be more interested if it comes with a quick getting started type tutorial for .net illiterates like me! (And VS is one of the major things that held me back)
