i changed phones yesterday from my nokia e75 to a blackberry curve 9300 3G.
i deactivated the wap before i changed my phone, and got a message that i will be deactivated march 16th.
as i was browsing through the BB, i noticed that watsapp is actually fully operational on WAP( something that was impossible on my e75 ).
i was in a location with no wifi, and just to make sure i turned wifi off from my BB .
i was just wondering if there's anyone here who's using watsapp on WAP.

And by fully functional, you mean opening the app and registering, or chatting with fellow contacts.
Up to the registration point, you don't need an internet connection, but you do need one for loading contacts and chatting with them.

small theory:
when you call alfa for wap activation, they ask youfor phone model, or maybe they can detect it
they see it's a bb and hence disable some services
maybe then if you activate on a non-bb then switch your sim??
