This has been and is being discussed a lot. There's no absolute info yet, but speculations say that we might (notice I said might) see some improvements starting this April.

Now let's close this topic before it turns into a nagging-fest :)

It should have been like now but the latest rumors are saying in 8 months, but don't expect 15 or 20mb/s it will be only 5mb/s max instead of 1.
Total download per month will not be unlimited but perhaps only 1.5x more, I never understood why its so limited, 4gb is NOTHING nowadays

5 mb/s with 4 gb quota?

No I said it ''would'' be 1.5x actual quota, so if for 1mb/s you have 6gb then for 5mb/s it will be ~9gb

lately all what nahhas is talking about is 3G hopefully dsl shall be upgraded soon and before 3G, but right now it is all speculations no fix dates.

We barely / don't have 24/7 electricity and petrol - as of now we can only count on a major telecommunications upgrade i.e. the 3G networks being implemented

as long as Lebanon maintains this Lebal Monopoly approach when it comes to Internet then forget about it / make no mistake we may have some private companies such as VISP and such, but lets be honest, they aren't that good at all.

I don't understand this 3G craze. Having 3G with our current internet state is exactly like the fact that we all have 54 Mbps routers that are fed by a 50KB/s internet connection. Is 3G going to benefit from the fiber optic networks, or that intercontinental cable ?
