HDD annoying noise.

Hello guys, i bought a Black Caviar HDD 1TB like 1 weeks ago, it making strange noise when reading/writing, i replaced it with another one and it is still making the strange noise and it is really annoying any help please?

Make sure that you provide it with the required power, perhaps the HDD needs more power so it is not spinning smoothly.
The same noise occurs when you connect an external HDD with a low speed USB hub.

my PSU is Thermaltake W0355RE Litepower 600W ( new one ) i don't know how to check if it giving the enough power

Can you describe the noise you are hearing ? its it like the HDD spins up fast for a few seconds then slows down? or is it a constant noise?

a bad batch, return and demand a refund or purchase another model.

a hdd should not make noises.

there is no such a thing as a silent hdd other than ssd. they all generate sounds. usually the sound that they emit are barely noticeable. regardless of whether they are laptop or desktop drives. under heavy intensive usage, you will hear some noise. but when you start hearing loud noise and scratches, then its time to get rid of the disk asap.
