Today suddenly i opened safari browser before enabling the useragent faker and i was shocked. there was no "ACCESS DENIED" i opened hotmail and it works, it wasn't when useragent faker is used. So i tried my android phone and it also worked.

i've activated wap on a bb, extremely slow; i mean i can get to google in 4 mins and anything else times out. anyone knows the speed of wap.

yes this error was happening from several weeks and you need to add them manually. Me too i didn't beleive it first when it works on my iphone until i tried my HTC Desire. Maybe Alfa has updated fianlly its database.

its working but dead slow, google takes forever to open(mobile google) applications dont seem to work google maps, its completely useless

I got it to work on my HTC desire but its takes around 3minutes to load the google mobile homepage.

So it confirms what I used to say about integrating Android and Iphone UA strings in their WAP servers...
They just didnt want to do it for marketing purpose and now that its too slow for 2011 smartphones they release the chains.
BTW just to make it faster:
-Disable images in the browser (unless you really need them)
-Disable background data sync
I must admit it was faster on nokia an SE phones but the resolution was only 240*320
I tried widgets and apps but only internet browsers can work, the fastest one is the Opera Mini 3 on java emulator because it uses lower resolution

go to settings/wireless and networks/ mobile networks/ Access point names
then add anew apn
name: alfa wap
APN: wap.mic1.com.lb
proxy: 192.168.23.50
port: 80
user name: mic1
password: mic1
apn type: internet

do you have market fix or market enabler? they change the mmc and mnc you need to uninstall these apps if you have them, MCC should be 415 MNC 01 if you are alfa user and leave the rest this is all you need to configure

yea i did that and it showed the new apn and i ticked the button but it seems im not connected, when i open the browser it shows cannot connect to internet. please check your connection settings and try again

Ah i forgot to mention i had flashed my mobile with a european firmware and custom rom maybe this is the reason for it not to be working?

i have jpy firmware and running darky 9.2 rom and its working for me, i think you need to reflash you rom back it up using clockwork then wipe and flash the rom again then restore that should help.
