  • Buying used PS3 controller

I would like to buy a used PS3 DualShock controller, original and in very good / excellent condition with no dysfunctional buttons. Does anybody have one? I'm using it for my PC and coupled with MotionInJoy DS3 tool and GlovePIE it's an excellent gamepad for some PC games.

Price is negotiable.

I will be honest in saying this, but those 10$ Chinese controllers (that look and feel exactly like Ps2 or 3 controller) work pretty well

your better off with a 360 controller for Joypad gaming on the PC.
I already have a 360 wired controller for use on the PC. However, I prefer the PS3 controller for a few reasons:
1) Its overall feel
2) I have managed to get it to work over bluetooth on windows 7 x64. This gives me a great degree of flexibility.
3) The PS3 controller has motion control and I have been able to make it work successfully.

I have had bad experiences with fake chinese controllers. 3 PS2 fake controllers I have bought have stopped working after a while. Only the 2 originals have survived and they're still working after 6-8 years of use.

EDIT: I changed my mind. I give up. Nobody is selling original PS3 controllers for cheap! Where can I find a chinese PS3 controller or something for cheap?

i got one for 7$ (PS2 clone) , im using it for the gamecube emulator and it works. It's also working well in Super Meat Boy for me, im quite proud of it :D

Tested on both Windows 7 and XP (comes with driver disc JUST in case)
No I want a PS3 controller. Does he sell those too?

the difference essentially with the PS3/PS3 controller is just the shoulder buttons (R2 and L2); this may work to your advantage on some games but not all.

Anyway i'll get back to you. Sunday at the most.

hey. since this is a ps3 controller topic,i just bought a new ps3 controller dualshock3 sixaxis. but i do not think its original i got it from "Sunday Shop" (sou2 el a7ad) and i am having trouble making it work wireless-ly with my ps3. when i plug the usb cable it IS working,and it is assigned as the second controller (but second light on the controller is not turned on) only the second light for the controllers on the ps3 display is turned on,but it keeps flashing (turning on and off)
So mainly... my problem is that the controller Is working when i have it plugged in,but without the cable its not working
Any solutions guys?

Maybe the internal battery isn't charging? That's the main reason you don't buy a used PS3 controller (Xbox is different since it runs on disposable batteries)
When the controller is plugged, check if it is charging.
yes it is charging. its not used its new in the box.. the problem is that its not original. but although not original i think the wireless should work also. right?

never mind, here it is.
I got the same problem; I bought an original white ps3 controller from dubai but it doesn't work unless its charging. And for some weird reason it always shows that I'm the 5th player (1 and 2 are lit) but in fact I'm the 1st and only player!
Sometimes the R1, or R2, button doesnt work so i decided to open it, after 3 hours of hard labour, turned out that the R1 AND R2 stopped working.
Without the R1 and R2 buttons the dualshock 3 is practically worthless!
