  • Nvidia GTX 500 series, available in Lebanon?

Hello fellow geeks.

I'm wondering if someone knows a decent shop or someplace I can get a Nvidia GTX 560. Just for the record that card was released few weeks ago, while the GTX 580 launched late last year. I cant afford it, its too expensive now, even in the US.

I checked pcandparts.com , obviously they haven't updated the website since last year.

PS. I think its time to jump ship from ATI(AMD now), because they make the world's worst drivers.
Hmm, I do know a place near LAU that sells EVGA and Thermaltake hardware. The shop is near Microcity (few meters, look for a sign saying Sweet Water). I am not sure if they have the EVGA GTX500 series, but I know that they have lots of gaming hardware there. If you're near there, give it a try, you might find what you want.
Hey thanks MrClass, I'll give it a go. But a question, how are the prices ? because if its some public shop I'm afraid it could be like the typical ones here in Lebanon way too overpriced or hardware noobs.
hehe, well you know the answer. welcome to lebanon mate.

You really don't want to know whats happening with the Nvidia drivers. Its getting worse every release, from brightness bugs to scaling bugs to frame-rate drops and many other things people are complaining about in the NV forums. (stay away from 260.99 and 266.58 releases)

Don't know about you but since the time I had 260.99 I have never experienced any Graphically glitches ingame :S
14 days later
MrClass,
i am interested about the computer shop Sweet Water but i couldn't find it can you mark it on google or direct me to its exact location or give me the shop's phone number?
PCandparts just added Geforce 580...
Microcityweb is more into ATI than nvidia but you can always ask for a ''special'' command if the gfx card you want exists in Lebanon ;)
I don't like ATI because they do too much noise and new Geforce have stereoscopic 3D enabled
