hey everyone , im currently a VISP user and i got myself couple of months ago a TP-Link wireless router and of course configured to PPoE settings and everything is fine..
but in a couple of weeks i'll be receiving my new connection , a Sodetel one wich is DSL of course , so i think i'm going to install it with a 4 ports ethernet non-wifi
the thing is it possible to connect the non wifi ethernet thing to my wireless TP-Link ( i don't want to just throw it away ) and then from my wireless TP-Link to pc ?? i suppose it's a yes but what configuration am i supposed to use ? it's not PPoE , i should use Dynamic or Static or what ? i appreciate any help..
and don't tell me the sodetel guys can do it for you , i want to know how to do it myself if i have to in some cases..

While we're at it ... I tried it, It worked, but just on 1 of my laptops. Each time i configure with a laptop the other one doesn't work... and now, the machine seems broken, I enter the IP address and nothing happens. Tried the reset button, didn't reset nothing. Anyone familiar with what's happening to me ? And i could use the advice you give to vengeance, it's cheaper to buy an independent router than to buy the router modem from IDM :/

Dears,
I was in your situation 2 weeks ago. I was a normal internet cable user and I had dlink wifi router. I migrated to DSL got their wifi router and everything was fine. I had 2 routers now :) so what I did is:
I connected the DSL router with my Dlink router on the Internet Port of the Dlink router, stopped pppoe on my dlink and choosed Dynamic (dhcp) now my DSL is giving my dlink router an IP adress which is internet. In your case your wifi TPLINK. Then connected my pc and laptop to my Dlink and they are in return getting dhcp ip addresses on different vlan(subnet) because my Dlink is configured to give dhcp ips of subnet 192.168.0.1 .
Everything is working fine. I disabled wifi from my dlink ( optional). Hope it works for you.
