achkar wroteMy U.S. experience, and especially - and specifically - my Silicon Valley one, taught me that we can all be entrepreneurs. We live in fear and dare not take little risks because we, for a starter, do not accurately evaluate the rewards. Secondly, we are unable to think outside the box because we underestimate ourselves. Also, we are raised to believe that unless someone hires us, we do not have a job; we therefore get stuck trying to climb a virtual ladder that doesn't really matter. If you don't have a job, CREATE IT. If there's something you can do better than your current job, you should quit.
You are right. But in Lebanon it is not jobs that are missing. People do "create" their own jobs all the time. ( I'm thinking freelancers, self employed... The thing that is missing
here are paying customers.
I'm wondering if that can be created. Following your positive attitude - I don't want to discourage you - I'm guessing yes. But that will probably, IMHO, will be the point you will be working on - creating demand - that and overcoming bureaucratic hassles.
Good luck and thanks for sharing :) Hope to stay in touch.
