@Padre: No, not at all. I really hope it was a success. I am interested in seeing how it went. We definitely need results, and I am curious to what was decided and so on. I feel left out a bit. Am not always annoying or evil or a pain in the ass.
Hahaha !! it's not what i meant. i just felt it to be sarcastic !!
And you aren't being left out ! I Understand your point for not coming and supporting online collaboration, but a chit-chat over a cup of coffee (or a full plate for some) is always nice !

I'm sure Samer or MIR will post the results of the meeting.
Was not able to make it as I was stuck at home for an emergency.
In any case, I hope it was good. I did not talk to MIR yet so I do not know what was discussed [especially stuff regarding visuals/virals as I already discussed it with MIR before.] will wait for official announcement :)

In the meantime, we should set up some sort of channel for online discussions and further improvement.
a small setup if we all agree to it:
http://liua.org/chat/
register and join. it will be better to discuss there (and hopefully all interested people will join).
I'll let Mir or Samer fill you in on the details, but one of the things discussed was shutting down the Gaming section. It's degrading the overall quality of the forum, and hence will be terminated starting next month. ^_^

I totally agree with this decision. This should've happened a long time ago. As an alternative, I suggest that Samer would create another forum (part of the LebGeeks brand - LebGamers maybe?) which will be exclusively for gamers and one of the active members of the Gaming section would handle the responsibilities of moderating that forum.

What do you guys think?
I so wanted to be there but the universe begged to differ. I really hope you guys post what was discussed so we can have a look, and I promise I'll make it next time!
Guys, gamers are an essential part of our community. Why the harshness on our own, I have no idea. You may not like the posts they create, so what? Other people do. We're a community, not a uniformity. Idiots =)
I am strongly opposed to the decision of closing the gaming section. AM at work right now, but will discuss that later. ARGGGGGGH
OMG ... ---()--()--- just meant it as a joke :/
That would make us look like morons then. Kudos on the well played joke!
My bad, I over-reacted ... feeling stOOpid (...)
Yes i agree as a daily poster(not anymore) on the Gaming forums the respective forum's quality has decreased with routine sometimes not gaming related posts that have been discussed a million times before.
Weird though why did you guys and gals discuss this during the IMEWE meeting?
i will leave it to samer to update
The gaming section is not going to be closed, mouse (---()--()---) was joking.

The meeting was fruitful, we threw in some nice ideas and some other crazy ones.
For now, Mir will be taking care of the media aspect of whatever we end up doing.
We're waiting to hear back from Padre regarding a few things. The community will be informed gradually about the action plan.

It was nice seeing you all!
