Kareem Hi guys, couple of mins ago, my Linksys router went down, it was immediately after the lightening. The weird thing is that it's connected to 2 surge protectors for phone and DC adapter lines. Now whenever I try to power it on, it does blink 4 network leds for 2 secs then completely dead. Time for a new one ? too bad it costs like 190$ :-/ If anybody knows if it can be repaired, any suggestion is welcomed. thanks.
proners a 700$ bravia fried here :S well it costs now 400$ (not sure if that gives me any condolences)

kareem_nasser I hope you backed-up your linksys settings. Try to contact costumer(here) support at linksys, i contacted them 2 times actually they never helped i solved my problems but they may with you. By the way they will ask for your serial number.
Xsever If it's out of warranty and they won't fix it anyway, try opening it yourself and see if you can detect what blew up (black carbon marks). It could be a capacitor or a resistor or maybe even a surge arrestor component/circuit/fuse.
J4D Since its blinking, it still got some logic. Open it up and post some good pics of the two sides of the internal PCB :)
Zusynoid-x try disconnecting it from the power-surge protector and connect it directly to the electric outlet first. (maybe the protector is messed up) if it still doesn't work then do what J4D said.
