  • 10 Millions Galaxy S Android phones sold worldwide!

Samsung has officially met its goal of 10 million Galaxy S phones sold around the globe. That's less than seven months since the device first hit the market, which by Sammy's fuzzy math averages to about one unit for every two seconds it's been on sale. According to Samsung Tomorrow, North America contributed the most with 4 million in sales, followed by Europe at 2.5 million.

Justement BB were never designed to fit large public like teens and young people, the sole purpose of bb phones was and will always be ''purelly business'' phones.
The UI is unfriendly,the look is awfull,the multimedia stuff are very limited but it has some utilities for business wise that will suit as secondary phone for important business managers and finance dudes.
A galaxy S or iphone 4 have way more easy UI to suit everyone, better multimedia,lots of apps and games to play with and are not limited to a specific kind of people.
Lebanese loved bb because 99% of Lebanese are followers of important business and finance managers and though this phone will make them ''important'' too if they get one.

''But why did you get it if you don't like it?''

No that's not why. They buy the BlackBerry because of the BIS. Otherwise no one would even think of buying it because just like you mentioned, a lot of other phones are much better.

When the day comes in this country(and IF it does) that 3G is finally implemented, then people will be able to buy other smartphones to actually put their potential to good use. I mean seriously, what would be a point of buying a phone designed to browse the web with ease if there isn't an ability to actually...Browse!!! D:
Whatsap is a great and free alternative for bb messenger and works flawlessly on all Android devices...
3G is still not here (perhaps in 2050) but nowadays many Lebanese have WIFI at work and in home

I went to buy the samsung S from a cell shop, and i was surprised by the guy telling me that whatsapp doesn't work on samsung S (i9000) . is it true ? or is there a trick to make it work ?
No, I use it daily on my Galaxy S.
Remember that it doesn't work on WAP.
