arithma I have this wonderful little incarnation in my head that I want to just print out to play with. I'll create a vortex in a 3D grid, take out the points where the velocity points are greater than a certain threshold, and just tell the printer to print it out. My brain is having braingasms over this, so I must have it out on my desk. Help.
samer Check out MakerBot, an open source 3D printer that can build almost anything up to 4"x4"x6". I read about it in an issue of Wired, it seems pretty nifty.

jsaade there is a mofeling (architecture maquets) company in jouniyeh and thry own a 3d printer. they did several 3d prints usually from 3dsmax with full materiald and textures. and there is another company who used to print out our 3d models at work. i will try to get both contacts for you by monday...
rolf Architects know about "3D printers" - they use it to build models. If you want I can ask for you. If you want something stronger and industrial, I can also ask for CNC :) Let me know.

dmnabti Just following up on this ... leads on companies that have (or sell? rent?) CNC machines in Lebanon? ... specs, for mid-size / light materials (plywood boards, cardboard, etc), max 2m x 2m.
solo220 @dmnabti IMHO I advise you to buy directly from the manufacturer especially for the 2m X 2m size or else you will pay like the double of the price + shipping +....
