Even though the Bulldozer is an 8-core chipset, I hope it performs better than Intel's current 970's and 980X's. Or else this will just be embarrassing... AMD's 6-core Phenom 2 CPU's already perform on par with Intel's LOWER i7 Quad-core CPU's.
And it's coming out on the AM3+ socket. That means people with AM3 sockets will need new motherboards, unfortunately. :(
But the AM3+, of course, is backwards compatible. So you can install your AM3 CPU's on it. :)
