MSD wroteIs that supposed to be implemented by individuals? If so, is it legal in Leb?
the project itself is an opensource project intended for everyone in the world. local regulations always restricts something. in lebanon, should all the laws be applied as is, the whole internet is not legal!
as for can you setup something like that in lebanon? well legally no! you would be breaching numerous laws and regulations. but then again the size and scale of such a project is so small that it would be as hard as searching for a needle in a haystack.
the concept of this thread is to see what ideas people can propose and who are ready to experiment with such technology. it is not the idea to create a commercial competition or replacement of existing services. this is purely an R&D subject. what we would learn heard together is to serve all as individuals on all fronts.
for example: oh! I can connect two villages by having two setups each in a different village that is connected only with powerlines. I would use PLC to establish IP connection between the two villages and presto, I would have a private wired and wireless network where half of the hardware used in this infrastructure is recycled from existing hardware openly available in the market.
