Use DVD home cinema with PC?

Ok I found a great offer at Tahan for 99$

It has AUX-IN red and white
My PC has a LG bluray and Intel desktop board that delivers up to 7.1 but with 3.5mm output
If I connect my PC to the LG via a cable converter 3.5mm to aux will it be stereo or 5.1?
The Mercury 5.1 with remote control costs 90$...

AUX-IN is stereo. I also lose the 5.1 surround when using AUX-IN cable.
