Just had a quick question,
I have a 27" monitor at home, was just wondering if I get the DVI to HDMI cable, would I be able to connect my PS3 or any other HDMI component to the monitor?
If it does work, do I need to make any changes or so for it work properly?
EDIT: Never-mind, found some information on the net.
One of the two game consoles – Playstation 3 or XBOX 360 Elite (or an player that spits out HDMI – whatever it happens to be)
HDMI cable (both male connectors) with a HDMI to DVI (female to male) converter - or - a HDMI to DVI cable (both male connectors).
PS3 Component (included in your PS3 bundle) – AV cables for the sound. (This will save you from spending $300 on a HDMI receiver box that splits the audio from the video.) Although you will loose some quality, and it won’t necessarily be 5.1.
Monitor that supports HDCP (which obviously has a DVI input).
Mods you can lock the topic.

You might not need AV cables. If your screen supports headphones, just connect a normal AUX wire from your speakers to your screen. The HDMI cable also transfers audio, so you don't need an audio cable from your PS3/360 to your screen.

I tired it tonight, the video worked like a charm, the only problem is the audio.
I'll have to find a way for that since my monitor does not support audio outputs.
