  • Anyone ever use DHL Easy Shop service?

Hey everyone, recently I have been considering buying some stuff from US stores, Tigerdirect in particular because it is way much cheaper than shops here. I came across the DHL Easy Shop service and seems to me like they deliver to Lebanon too which is awesome. But I would like first to check with you guys if anyone ever used this service and has a small review about it pertaining to speed of delivery, cost, security etc...

Newegg.com is even better than tigerdirect.com

Consider it.
I think it's safe but you've got to consider paying taxes and shipment and handling fees.
Newegg.com is a must, tigerdirect is also good but i prefer newegg.com as xsever said
BTW, yesterday was the official annual free shipping day in North America.
Anything you buy online from more than 150 retailers would have been shipped to you for free inside North America.

I didn't try it but one friend of mine did.he payed for xbox games more than he would pay here.

You should check out Aramex's Shop and Ship service. It is cheaper than DHL's by a sizeable margin.

Hey Ayman. If you're going to purchase items from Newegg, please let me know. I want to purchase a certain item from Newegg as well. Maybe we can share the delivery costs :)

But, you know that shipping from outside means you have to pay taxes, lots of taxes. 10% VAT, 5% cost of items, 55000L.L border taxes (jimrok), and the shipping fees which depend on the shipping company.

I have used Easy shop DHL for multiple deliveries from amazon but it does not really matter, you should pay attention to the taxes, the online calculator is not accurate(at all): for an ipod, priced at 165$ i paid 70$ for taxes and shipping, for a printer priced at 250$ i paid 100$, it was still better than buying it from here(450$), so you have to decide if it's worth the risk.

btw the delivery took from amazon to DHL site in US around 4 days, and from DHL US to Beirut around 1 week, multiple variables can make your delivery go late but it never took more than 2 weeks, they took good care of the products i requested in terms of packing and protection.
