sup geeks :)
here we go:
picture 2 rooms seperated by a wall (regardless of the width), a hole in this wall (pretty wide)
and one ps3 in one of these rooms
if i get an hdmi splitter, get 2 hdmi outputs, one of them goes in the LCD tv in room a, and the other one (longer one) into the lcd in room b
a usb cable extender that extends the joystcik cable to the other room through that same hole
will the 2 rooms be able to play, as if they were playing on a split screen, but on different screens ?
Please this thing is going to cost some money and i'm not going to advise the person to do it unless i hear professional points of views
cheers guys

what is the point of playing on different screens in a split screen mode...
let's say you are playing COD you will still know what the other player is doing since you still can see both screens but on different tv screens. :)
so buy a new ps3.

No, you wouldn't be able to. You're forcing the video to go on two screens, but that's all that you're doing. You're still playing single player, regardless of the amount of controllers you connect to the PS3. If you were to switch to multiplayer, then you'd have 4 views, but still only 2 players. It's like saying if I get another screen with another keyboard and mouse, will I be able to play multiplayer? No, I won't. Unless the game has multiplayer that I can set up through a LAN connection (with another PC), all I'd be doing would be duplicating the single player.

It wont work. The same video signal goes to both screens and on both screen you will see the same thing.

This idea would be nice if there was some way to adjust the settings so that each half on each LCD would cover one screen :P
but if that's not applicable, then there isn't much use to it :/
also, you must consider the sound, no way to separate sound so that's a con : |

thx guys
see what happened was that i told the guy that it couldnt be done 2 days ago
but then he started spamming me with phonecalls that he heard and asked around and typical lebanese told him quote " eh w @ir akid it could be done", including another dude i work with who gave him the idea in the first place....
Plus i told even IF it could be done , the cost of a 5 meters hdmi cable, + fee for installatin was gonna be a tad less than the cost of a 2nd playstation ...
