What's up forum! Some of you may have heard of the ring back tone service from mtctouch a.k.a Samme3ni. Well, for those of you who don't know, it allows you to select the tone the caller hears when calling you, instead of the usual toot toot. Well, sounds pretty nice @ 70 cents a month. The only problem is that to activate this service, you have to call 1001, which costs 1$/minute, i guess it's how you say 'mal3oubi'...since it's gonna take you a while to listen to all available sound clips and choose the one you like. Anyway, my bill is too high this month, and I'm not willing to try it out. Anyone out there subscribed to this? If yes, how is it? What sound clips are available? Is it worth the money?

Why on earth would someone even care what the caller hears?

Well, change from the usual toot to a song would be nice -_- ....

hey , cool new feature , i used to have it on my number but in Romania , it's fun for the first 3 weeks but then you and your friends who'r calling you will get bored of it (plus in Romania its cheaper and you get to choose the tone from the website with no additional fares),
conclusion : you'll get ripped off , and will receive less phone calls if you r planning on getting it ;)
That's My POV .

Useless and potentially confusing for people who don't know about it.

hmm Ya I remember when I was in Poland you can change that tone for a very small fee(or for free.. I forgot) and select a tome(also forgot if user-described from what company's offering) It's nice and all but in my opinion I prefer the usual tone because sometimes people select some songs that you wouldn't like :P
think of it this way " hey! let's call Him...Ahh I don't feel like listening to that song. 5alas forget it" :P

This is the most unprofessional thing anyone can ever do. They should say this service is for under-15!

Adding to what Xsever said, i'd say that i'm really surprised of how much Lebanese people are good at wasting their money for stupid things.
Xsever
And then they wine "Wayniyyi l dawli"!
This feature has been present in Canada for the past year or so. Mostly kids and teenagers have it.
The first time I called someone who had it, I was so furious because I had to listen to the stupidest song before the guy answers. Ye3ni ouf chou fi 3elam bela fadi!!!!

why do not they waste their resources on giving a better/stable service. They already have tons of services which need improvement!
1- Bill
2- Connection/Coverage
3- Internet
Once they have 100% of the above, then they can start offering services!
It is like ignoring the main problem and giving the people something to toy with!

Agree with you 100% my friend, its such a shame really, but anyways we cant do anything about it.

What makes me pull my hair even further is the $1/minute thing.
THIS IS PUBLIC ROBBERY!

This is actually a good way if you want to annoy people in order to make them stop calling ;<)

It's 1.26$/ min + .07$ when selecting the song of your choice. This service has been available in most Arab operators long time ago.
PS: The first day it was launched, more than 730 subscribers activated it. Operators usually know what they are doing hehe.....

This option was available on the Syrian line I got when I visited :p
totally pointless thing. I honestly hope Alfa makes a new service that's actually useful.

Hmm now that I think about it, this explains the song I hear every time I call a business contact in India. He has some kind of jazz tune.

amkahal
