I have a backup SATA HDD which I used for backing some work. it is a st3250823as (seagate 250 GB).
It was working fine and I used to use it under Windows XP.
I wanted to get a file (I am now under windows 7), Windows 7 recognizes the Disk but it is asking me to format it.
Dik Management Tool in Windows7 is recognizing the Data as RAW (not partitioned).
I tried seaTools and the disk passes every single Test.
Is there any software that can extract the data?

There is a software called GetDataBack for NTFS v4.0.0.1 that will help you recover all your files.
Search for it (it was floating in the bay). If you can't find it, let me know and I will PM you the link.

ok thanks, I started using easus data recovery professional. If this does not work i will try the program you suggested.

Save yourself time and use what I suggested. The same thing happened to me once and I learned my lesson.

I am using it now, it detected all the files, but they are messed up (incorrect folders).
I will try to recover everything maybe it would work...

Let me know how it goes. When my partition appeared as RAW, I used it and recovered all my files intact.

It detected 70% of my files with correct file names, but it had a huge list (1000+ folders) with weird names containing different files which confused me a bit. luckily i also have another HDD (the original one which is formatted) but it should also work :) hopefully between the two i will retrieve everyth!
