Let me know what you guys think :)
Joe
Impressive! Seriously.
What software are you using? <crossing fingers>Please say it's Blender</crossing fingers>
xterm
Amazing. Very very nice, worthy of a full movie.

What makes you think it is just one software.
It can be a mix of Maya/3DSMax/etc.
Padre
mostly 3DSMax, has some view and shit-load of other plugins / softwares :)
Sorry, but blender lacks in term of plugin support ... at least last time i checked. But it does have it's advantages but just not what we needed for now.

Outstanding work Padre... Congratulations to you other members who collaborated in this work...
The 3D is simply amazing. Especially at the beginning of the video (the forest, the castle, etc..)
Keep up the good work ;)
Edit: Lool at the chopper scene and that blue elephant :D...

Great work i actually first saw it on Georges's link on FB, but i have to say that the trees section where they first appear look a bit 2D mock-ups.
For better visual treat for the water check GTAIV's style, the water there is so realistic.

The edit is a bit mkafshal, but the CGI work is pretty good. I particularly liked the slow-motion close-up for Furball running by.
Good luck with your new company!
PS. Once you're all set up, send me Furball Animation's details and website and a larger reel. If you remember, my day job is at a production house.
BTW, Dina & Nareg both rock. =]

i totally agree along with the lighting and reflections look great.
MegaCool
Holy shit thats some quality animation right there,
congratulations, finally some CG stuff on this forum :)
water probably needs abit more tessellation
Edit: props on the sound effects too
Kassem
I seriously loved it! Well done Padre, keep it up :)

Very Nice :)
I just had some small comments:
- The water is not that real ... In the scene where there are drops, they do not have any ripple effect.
- The river/Lake scene the water is too plane and perfect, shouldn't be more of random, small waves? some fractals?
- The helicopter scene physics are a bit off, when the helicopter is hit, its movement is awkward and it jumps directly to the camera.
- The helicopter should go into pieces while catching fire, it would have looked more realistic.
But overall it is pretty amazing :)
I saw Nareg's work a while ago and he is a really talented guy.

Thats really interesting and neat work Padre, I am really looking forward for seeing more creations from you and your team, I am really happy to see that this will be a local company. Keep the good work :)

Great CGI execution, but the trees being hacked in the forest by the trolls (or whatever they are) and the water ripples need a little bit of improvement.
I absolutely loved the part where Furball catches fire, especially the slow-mo bit. Nice selection of soundtracks as well. Keep up the good work!!
Go Furball Animations!!!
Kassem
This is the type of high quality work and startups that you'd be glad to advertise for in any way you could even though you've got nothing to do with it. I expect Furball Animations' work to get better and better and I'll be thrilled to see more from them! :)
rolf
Not bad, not bad... congrats :)
chosen2k
Really nice work. Beware Pixar, Furball is catching up :P
Just one question was everything created from scratch? For example the Orcs? Are they preset models or you designed them ?
Padre
Really thanks everyone !!
First, a lot of things could have been improved, but we are honestly out of time. It's just a startup reel and hopefully we could do a lot better in the future.
The water lost most of it's "details" when we encoded the movie for facebook. it's not as plain as it looks ! (the reel was rendered mostly at 1080p and one scene at 720p)
When we first started, we wanted to do everything from scratch. We modeled / rigged / created textures etc ... but as we approached our deadlines, we needed to take shortcuts.
All the scenes where made by us from scratch. however we need to use very few models that we bought. For example We took the model of the troll and modified it's textures and rigged it / animated it very quickly. The troll we were initially designing was a bit different, too bad he didn't make it into the final production :)

Cool stuff ! :)
rolf
The problem with the troll it's that it's the same model, and same animation cloned.
