"up to" means shared with your ram memory if needed if you want more info you need to read how the memory works (ram-cpu-hdd) use wikipedia

It is not called VGA, it is called a Graphic Card.

Now back to your question, the "up to" means the amount of shared memory the graphic card can use from the RAM...

Be careful though. More memory doesnt mean your graphic card will be powerful. You should also know what graphic chipset is being used. Like 9600GT, 260GT, etc...

Never trust Lebanese "up to's." They're just trying to make you buy it but the card itself is crap.

Exactly in here they market through lying because people are not aware. The only thing we understand here is:" OH bigger number shiny", then we buy. As an example go to khoury home and ask about the contrast ratio of the LED Samsung say 6000 series then the guy will start talking non-sense until you say awesome TV and buy it.
