  • Failed to download repository information

This error came up when i was trying to download the updates on Ubuntu 10.10, and also comes up when i try to download anything from the software centre.
Are you behind a firewall? Do you have your proxy settings right? Try:
sudo apt-get update
in a terminal window. Does it give any errors? Paste them here so we can try to find out the problem.
This is SOLVED i just changed the download source. thank you.
