So a few weeks ago, I start hearing a buzzing noise during gameplay. First I think it's something in the case vibrating on something else or the lid of the case vibrating against the case. I search and search and troubleshoot, but to no avail. Finally, I decide to stick with it for 2 weeks and conclude that my PSU is just under load and not good enough to run my specs. Today, I saw my old PSU in my drawer. It's a 300 Watt PSU and my new one was a 500 Watt. So I figure I'd try it since I had nothing better to do. I installed the PSU, connected all my hardware and overclocked my CPU to my standard clock. Loaded up GTA 4, Fallout 3, and Crysis and not even a whisper came out of it... I guess my new PSU was just screwed from the get-go. *sigh*
maybe there is just dust in it? and man, how could you be runing a gtx 260 on a 300 watt psu?
