Hello everyone. I think I have some trouble with a couple of hard drives in my computer, and said its time to buy some new ones. I am a bit annoyed by the fact that an SSD would kick ass in read/write speeds, but the price is way too much and would only fit tiny amount of data. RAIDing 2 1TB Western Digital 7200RPM 64MB SATA 6.0Gbps looks interesting, massive storage capacity, cheap, but not quick as an SSD. Hybrid comes in the middle. Seagate has 500GB Hybrid with 4GB SSD integrated, but costs as much as 2 1TB WD hdds. SO, if you had these option infront of you, what would you choose?
I am more oriented towards the RAID option, but the Hybrid maybe worth considering.
I will install windows on the new drive, so take that into consideration; and I ain't gonna spend more than 300 bucks. Also consider which maybe more future proof, and which solution is worth waiting for. Thanks!
