  • How are cellphone numbers divided between alfa and mtctouch?

How are cellphone numbers divided between the two cellphone operators in Lebanon. Which operator has which series?
03 and 70 and for both. from 031xxxxx to 035xxxxx and 701xxxxx to 705xxxxx are for alfa. The rest for MTC.
As for 71, it's for Alfa. 76 for MTC Touch.
Related question. I've been using the same line alfa (used to be cellis) for maybe 10 years. Sometimes I cannot call 01 number (only 03) for hours. I was told alfa has problems and I should buy a MTC number. Is that true?

I've never had that problem. I have had my prepaid alfa line for about 10 years too.

My brother has a 71xxxxxx MTC line
71 is for MTC 100% sure. so is 76

Not true, my cousin has 71 5xxxxx Alfa line.

yeah its some how complex in knowing if the number is mtc or alfa so best way is to ask the owner of the phone if it's alfa or mtc lol and the two surely sucks :D

Ok, so after seeing all your responses, and comparing with numbers i know, I'm pretty sure this is how it goes:

mtctouch: 1. 036XXXXX till 030XXXXX alfa: 1. 031XXXXX till 035XXXXX
2. 706XXXXX till 700XXXXX 2. 701XXXXX till 705XXXXX
3. 711XXXXX till 715XXXXX 3. 716XXXXX till 710XXXXX
