Ogero has provided me with one of these modems

its been going well but just recently ive had a major issue

the modem itself is fine and fully functional, as in the broadband light blinks and stay light - yet the internet doesn't come on (not even a red light)

what i must do every time is open the router settings and click the connect button

why has this happened and how can i fix it ?
I guess you should take to them. Ogero doesn't provide the username and password needed to access the modem's configuration page. You could call them but my guess is that they'll just tell you to get it to them and they'll fix it up.

I had the same problem few months ago... the solution is very easy :)

-Login to you router (Username: user / Password: user).
-Click on the Connect button (on the main page).
-Click on Information, then click on Restart, and wait tell the restart finishes (it takes few minutes).

After that the modem will always be connected :)

They are now providing the Administrator Username and Password upon request via e-mail :)

Are you sure about about it ? did you try it ? do you have to give them a convincing reason or just ask for them ?
My sister has an Thomson modem with a Ogero 512k connection.

She has the same issue as the topic starter, this problem started when I extracted the pppoe pass using this infamous code :
javascript:(function(){var s,F,j,f,i; s = ""; F = document.forms; for(j=0; j<F.length; ++j) { f = F[j]; for (i=0; i<f.length; ++i) { if (f[i].type.toLowerCase() == "password") s += f[i].value + "\n"; } } if (s) alert("Kwdikoi pou vrethikan:\n\n" + s); else alert("Den yparxoun formes kwdikwn s afti ti selida.");})();
I extracted the PPPoE pass successfully but ever-since the modem doesn't auto connect every time she turns on the Modem she has to open its interface and connect it manually, I was thinking of hard reseting the modem and reconfiguring it if I can get the admin username and pass from Ogero.

No do not hard reset the modem, just do as I said in my previous post (and you don't need the administrator username and password to solve your problem):

Yes, I got my Administrator Username and Password few months ago... You don't have to give them any reasons :)

Just send a similar message to nrifai@ogero.gov.lb, and he will reply to you after few days:
Good evening,

I am an OGERO ADSL client.

I need the administrator username and password of my ADSL modem (it is a Thomson v7).

My name: ***** ***** *****
The phone number: ********
The DSL number: L******

Thanks and Best Regards
Thank you very much Samer99, I will try to fix it your way, and I will request the admin username and pass, who knows I might need them one day.
a year later
I have a bigger problem.... yesterday i bought a TP-Link router costs 23$ it had WDS capabilities A.K.A wireless distrubution system. In other words you connect two wifi routers and make them as 1 network to improve and give 2 things... 1. giving better signal 2. using more ethernet ports for wii ps3 lap. etc.

Now the problem is that after I finished the settings on the tp-link config. page i linked it to my thomson tg585 v7 router ogero gave me it was connected wirelessly b/w both but it didnt work. o i watched a video on utube i saw that the thomson OGERO router had to be in bridge mode. So i went into the thomson tg585 v7 config. page and changed it to Bridge mode it restarted and everything but all lights where on but strangely the internet light was stable green i called ogero they told me to bring it down to beirut to reconfigure the modem to default ogero setting .
can anyone Help me fix this problem and please send the re: message to aridi94@gmail.com thanks
I also returned it to a setting that goes like this: OGERO 3PLAY settings.
