Whats Aircrack -ng ?

Aircrack-ng is an 802.11 WEP and WPA-PSK keys cracking program that can recover keys once enough data packets have been captured. It implements the standard FMS attack along with some optimizations like KoreK attacks, as well as the all-new PTW attack, thus making the attack much faster compared to other WEP cracking tools.

In fact, Aircrack-ng is a set of tools for auditing wireless networks

well im going to teach you how to install it on ubuntu 10.4 [ its comes with backtrack by default ]

Just Go To System > Administration > Synaptic Package Manager

Search and Add This Package
aircrack-ng
Then Add this one
macchanger
then update your OS using the Terminal with this command
sudo apt-get update

No it's not against the etiquette, as long as it is considered that you're posting it for "educational reasons". It would be great actually if you could mention it in your tutorial.

Oh and here's how you update Ubuntu:
sudo apt-get udate && sudo apt-get upgrade
.

apt-get update only refreshes the list of available updates.
I'll be installing Aircrack-ng soon. I read plenty of articles about it and i can't wait to try it.
