In a previous post, AymanFarhat mentioned Arduino microcontroller but he failed to mention where they are sold.
Priority goes to Blackcat, and Teensy.

these are micro-controller development boards, and no they are not available in Lebanon. im domestically making my arduino clones . your best bet is to order any one of these :)

well, I can give you a compromised solution:

there's a place on hamra across the Concord cinema complex called "RS Mobile". it's a franchise for the UK company in Lebanon, so everything you order is actually shipped from the stores in UK (hence the itsy bitsy size of the shop). the guy running the franchise is called Hussam (I have his phone number if you want). always check the website before going to the shop so you can jut down the item numbers (faster for you to order). the shipment doesn't need more than a week, and it's much safer than ordering on-line.

I already found it, its the whole development board :) i cant etch tiny traces here for the atmega2560 !

Easy, get an SMD-2-TTL socket for the ATmega2560 (I used one for an instrumentation amplifier which ironically was bought at RS mobile). Just in case you wanted to venture that region one day ;)

Hehehe, i already work with smt :) i actually can solder an smt chip at a fraction of the time that is needed for the DIN package ! :P and about using a socket, it would be really messy and huge ! which is contrary to why we need SMT packaged components :) you have seen a fraction of my projects, the others cannot be presented online for security reasons ;)

Jad, for better directions, there's a giant clothing store then a gas station just before the place: the area is known as Tallet El-Drouz (it's not exactly across Zara, so you don't get lost like a student of mine once did). I just placed an order today for work :)
