i own a desktop pc with dual core 3.0 cpu and 1.5gb ddr2 ram and hdd 160gb and geforce 9500gt card.
in the last month i noticed some noise coming from my pc so i opened the case and concluded that this noise was coming from the cpu fan and the vga fan .. 30 minutes ago i took my pc to a hardware store and asked him to change the cpu fan and vga fan for me. so nzelna 3al atelier ana wel chab yale byechteghil ma3o(egyptian-syrian guy) and he replaced the fans in front of me.when he turned on the pc, it works for 10 seconds and then shuts down ... he tried changing the ram's places and removing the cpu fan to test if this helps but nothing made the pc work.. he said " yemkin mechkle mnel motherboard" so i said to him that i was using my pc 5minutes ago and nothing went wrong.. so he answered " ana ma jarabto abel ma rakkebon" so in the end he took my number and told me he'll call me tomorow.. so my question for u guys is how should i confront him if he said that the board is damaged and he will charge me a new one's price?

Let me tell you my story.
My laptop wouldn't start(All the lights go on but nothing starts), so I took it to a place to just see what the problem was and inform me in order to know if I should fix it or buy a new one. A few days later he calls me and tells me that he "fixed"(He changed the board) and it cost 200 dollars. I got in a fight with him and eventually paid him. A few days later, same problem. I took it back to him and he told me the problem was from the fan since the beggining(WTF right??). Don't trust these places. My advice fix it at the laptop's original company. Also don't believe these places when they tell you that they will give your laptop to the company because that's what the guy who fixed mine told me(Found a sticker on the buttom of my laptop with the name of a place in Saida)

You could do pre-op agreements with the fixers. It's what we do with all our clients. A payment gets final after 1 week from giving the computer back. In the mean 1 week, you have the right to call for our support as much as you like till you're satisfied. Eventually, if things aren't working for you, all work is undone and you get your payment back, no charges whatsoever.

You should have gotten new fans and changed them yourself.
But I have to say from your description, he didnt do anything wrong, but I cant really know.
Maybe he forgot to properly fix the CPU fan, or put the thermal paste (if any). In this case the CPU will automatically shut down because it overheats. Another possibility is that he bended some pins while changing the place of RAM. I suggest you get that board back, and take a close look at it yourself, it's really not complicated.

Booboo, you should get your hardware from respectable companies
