rahmu wroteI would do the frontend in the browser. You're fairly competent in (x)HTML, so why not use that? I believe .NET has an appropriate language to do that (ASP?).
No that's not possible in this case. I am building a desktop based WinForms application, and not an ASP.NET application which runs in the browser :)
rahmu wroteAs for drawing your UI, I'd suggest using a tool called Balsamiq. It has a paying version (79$) that is worth every penny, but also an online free version. Give it a try it's amazing.
That's probably the best application created in Flex I've seen so far! Awesome application! Thanks for the share :)
Ok so I finally decided on a simpler UI which will be using a ListView control to display the chosen the products. The user will choose the product, then the application will query the database to find the selected product in the products table and a row will be added to the list view containing the Category, Product Name, Price, Quantity, Discount and (if possible) an image of (X) sign to remove the product from the ListView. Unfortunately, I'm have a hard time binding the retrieved Product object to columns of the ListView control. Any suggestions on how to do that? I couldn't really find anything very useful online. I noticed there are many developers asking questions similar to what I'm asking about, but there's no decent documentation on the topic...
On a side note, I know that LINQ uses the concept of Lazy Loading. If I get this straight, does that mean I could create queries and not execute them until I call DataContext.SaveChanges() ? If that's the case, is it possible to store multiple queries inside of a List, add to the list/delete from it, then finally execute the queries? Hopefully that was clear because I do not know how else to explain what I'm thinking of... :)
