Hey guys, I'm just ranting about Google banning Lebanon from anything useful.
For example, I can't download Chrome extensions, because I get a "We're sorry but you are in a forbidden country" every time I want to download an extension.
I can't download anything from the Android Market, the download isn't even starting (on other connections with foreign-based original ISP's it works)
The Android SDK reference files for eclipse repo doesn't work either, getting a "This product is not available in your country".
Would sitting behind a proxy work? (theoretically it does, but it's dead slow :S )
Some of who here are developing Android apps, how are you doing it?

Downloading Chrome Extensions works fine for me... I'm with Ogero by the way...

Just today I learned that Sourceforge had blocked Syrian users from downloading due to the US export restriction Laws. They have later alleviated the problem a bit by giving the option to every project owner to choose whether their project can be exported to Syria and other restricted countries, with these countries blocked by default.
I hope we won't see such a thing here.

I'm connected to FastNET (remember these guys? :P ) and it seems I'm banned :S
and HTTP/S proxies aren't working at all..

No idea what you are talking about. I am with Ogero and I can download extensions just fine.
In fact, it reminded me I had to get a new theme for my Chrome, and tada, download done!

I never had a problem with Google too.
Everything works fine for me.

I'm with VISP and Gmail has not working on HTTPS for a few days now. Firefox tells me I am on an "untrusted connection" and I have to go on regular HTTP... though I suspect this has to do with VISP's horrible slowness these past few days.

Scanned my provider's website, found an open Proxy that accepts CONNECT requests.
works like a charm, boom-chi-ki-wa-waaaa!!
