Hey guys, I'm trying to play a sound notification (in .js) coupled with an onclick event;
Tried to use the NsiSound interface, not working :/
can anyone help/ anyone with some experience with firefox extensions?
(I want to loop that sound notification! )

I have 0 experience with that, but since it's possible to play a sound in an html webpage - has been so for a long long time, maybe you can reproduce that in js, without this NsiSound interface.

hey rolf, I want to play the sound in the background, do you think I can use the <audio> tag?
and if so, how can i embed it using js?
:/ a bit new to web dev, but I have this cool idea for an extension so i'm hacking my way in there :)

Yep, I forgot how exactly it works, but maybe it is the <audio> tag, or maybe an <object> tag.
You can pretty much create anything with javascript, so you can create an audio tag using javascript. I would have used jQuery because it makes it all easier then dealing directly with the javascript DOM functions.
I also think you should be able to find a howto on google for what you are trying to do.
