mir Hello guys, I am looking for a tool where i can manage and store passwords for multiple users. Like for example : wireless network - password is xyz - access : everyone pc1 - password is xyz - access : mireille , georges, hanna server 1 - pass is balbalba - access : mireille an open source solution is appreciated - multi-platform is better, but if not , we need it for windows mostly (users with windows are the majority) thank you for the help in advance !
rolf If I had to do that, I'd store the passwords in text files (or excel?), then protect them with Axcrypt (or is it axencrypt?). It's pretty practical - it decrypts on double click - then it automatically shreds all temporary files when you close the editor. On OSX I have a little app called xPad I use to write down stuff. I don't protect it because the partition itself is encrypted and the laptop is password protected on sleep. Sure these are kinda primitive solutions but the advantage it's that you're using tested software, and it can be setup in no time.
Joe Last Pass. Definitely. Browser addon available for Chrome and Firefox (don't know about the rest). Premium (paying) version allows sharing of secure notes and such. We use it at work. It does wonders.
mir Thank you guys for the feedback you just saved me tons of time for search and lot of crappy software :) giving lastpass a try and write on some feedback Waiting to see other ppl suggestion as well :)
