hay guys, how are you...
I'm having a problem, as u all know, I bought a PS3 & connected it to my PC monitor through HDMI to DVI, I've also stated that I connected it to the sound card through Digital In, & I've been having Stereo Sound Output, this is my system as follows
PS3 - Video - LG W2252TQ
PS3 - Audio - PC Sound Card (X-Fi Titanium Fatality Pro) Digital In --> T7900 7.1 Analog
ex:
PS3 Digital Out --------> X-Fi Digital In ------> Creative Inspire T7900 7.1 Analog (Stereo Sound Output)
Now I've searched & searched & searched, all over the web, many people have the same problem as me, even though that my card was promoted that it decodes DDL (Dolby Digital Live) & DTS signals into analog signals, yet it don't, it only decodes them in case the Surround System Connected to them was connected through Digital out,
ex:
PS3 Digital Out --> Digital In Surround System => DDL & DTS works
or
PS3 Digital Out --> X-Fi Digital In ------> X-Fi Digital Out ---> Digital In Surround System (DDL & DTS works)
And creative have disabled DDL & DTS decoding on their cards because of movie studios & movie/music piracy, & gave their users the ability to download Cyberlink Power DVD, it will decode & play DDL & DTS Movies.
I see that my easiest option is to get a Digital Surround Sound, or to get a audio decoder, I found one that is Creative Decoder DDTS-100, yet it is discontinued.
So from where can I get a Digital 5.1 Surround Sound, or do u have any idea that you can share with me on what to do ?
Playing Games in Stereo ain't worth it, even with CMSS 3D enabled in the Creative Audio Panel, it will make Left & Right Channel in the Center
+ Left to the entire Left Speakers (Front, Side, Rear)
& Right to the entire Right Speakers (Front, Side, Rear)
& the bass is either too loud or too low.
I decided to stop gaming till I figure out a way to overcome this. Their goes my next pay check :'(
Thanks
