J4D Simple , A collaborative project "Hardware+software" joining professional LebGeek's minds in something possibly cool , productive or even commercial . aimed at : -Programmers -Electronics Specialists -Engineers Ideas of course can be given by anyone , and we can work together on realizing an idea we all agree on . The idea can be Anything within some boundaries of course . I just want to state that i don't really expect much from this thread . But I'm giving a chance in case this time it rings a bell , or in your case flips a bit. Oh and people outside Lebanon can also be a part of this for sure , especially programmers ! :) I also want to state that Ayman Farhat and I are doing an excellent deal of collaborative work !
Joe Here's an idea: Portable RSS reader. A small thing you'd have in your pocket, that will buzz when you get a new feed. So if you're monitoring a topic on a forum (say lebgeeks ?) you could be up-to-date with answers at anytime. I would hate to own such a device, but it's so .... Web 2.0.
J4D I would think this is a good idea , but cant this be a feature of lets say a mobile phone with internet access ? a simple software would achieve your idea , why make hardware for it at times when all have mobile phones with considerable amount of processing power that is very suited for mobile apps ?
Joe Because not everyone of us wants to spend 500$+ on a phone. Real progress is not making an iphone connected to the world. Real progress is getting you connected to the world for 5$. Until then, we'll keep throwing money at big companies who never seem to have enough. I am not passionate about the stupid portable RSS thingy, I am just reacting to your answer ... Troll, open a new thread for reply. / Back on the subject, I always wanted to code some functionalities for lebgeeks, Maybe we should look into that
J4D Im not of a troll my self, I believe everyone has his concept of perfect :) functionalities like what ? it would be very nice if members can contribute to this community , gr8 idea ( definitely related to samer , and we would have to relate to him ) .
Ayman Back on the subject, I always wanted to code some functionalities for lebgeeks, Maybe we should look into that. I think this is a nice idea.
